First Jamaican Restaurant In Southern Utah

Cheryl has a passion for cooking authentic Jamaican food and celebrating her heritage. She ran a catering company for years but has dreamed of opening a brick-and-mortar to bring more culture into St. George. She is proud to support a local company.

“The first thing I asked when I called InfoWest was, ‘are you local?’” said Cheryl.

Papa’s got jerk is the first Jamaican restaurant in St. George. In fact, It’s even the first West Indies in southern Utah. 

“We decided in 2019 to have a brick-and-mortar to bring some culture into Southern Utah.” Said Cheryl who is known for making the best jerk chicken, jerk pork, curry chicken, oxtail, and many other authentic Jamaican meals. 

Cheryl uses InfoWest not only to process payments but also uses the internet to stream music to help set the beach atmosphere, in the middle of the Southern Utah desert.

“People from all over eat here and many say it’s the best Jamaican food they’ve had.”

InfoWest Wins Big!

InfoWest recently participated in its first FCC spectrum auction bidding against some of the nation’s largest mobile carriers and utility companies. InfoWest won licenses in the new CBRS mid-band frequencies for ten Utah counties. InfoWest will use its new spectrum licenses to enhance its service in ten Utah counties.
“We’re excited to be able to start rolling out this new high-speed and high-power wireless service on frequencies we now own throughout Southern Utah.,” said Cassidy Larson, CTO at InfoWest. “This new wireless spectrum is interference-free and will help us overcome challenges we’ve had in the past with obstructions between the roof and tower.”
